A set of 3 Traditional fluted body crow quill Avon style floats.

Description These floats are made by sanding the balsa on opposite sides to form the four grooves to create the fluted body which are then mounted on a Crow quill stems, these have been painted Pink over white. Next, they are dressed and lined with a red/black vintage jasper & red and black silk thread. Finally, they all have a minimum of 10 coats of lacquer. Their lengths are 14,15.5 & 17.4 cm. With all handmade floats the cocking weight might very a little, these are 2, 4 & 7bb , a weight that makes them sit up well. My floats are signed or initialled and dated. If you order a bespoke set, then at time of ordering I can add the buyer’s name.
